BIG HEADING
The future of rotor hub mechanics. SCOPIC represents a major leap forward in rotor hub mechanics, a software-defined virtual swashplate that delivers collective and/or cyclic pitch control using nothing more than driveshafts and drive motors — no swashplates, actuators, linkages, or complex mechanisms required...
Software defined virtual swashplate
No swashplates or linkages.
No slip rings or "fly by wire" actuators. just drive motors.
Cyclic and/or collective pitch control is achieved through coaxial driveshafts.
IBC (Individual blade control) capable, both in pitch and lead-lag.
For rotary-wing, fixed-wing, tiltrotor, eVTOL aircraft and watercraft. Essentially any system with spinning rotors.
Regenerative braking provides pitch control for autorotation and other externally driven applications like hydroelectric and wind powered generators.
Individual rotors may continue to operate as fixed pitch rotors in the event of a motor failure.
