Privacy Policy

How Wordy Page handles your information when you visit wordy.page, make a page or send a message from a page. Plain English, no surprises.

Effective date: October 31, 2026

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you publish a page or sign in. We use it to send you sign-in links and to know which pages are yours. We don't send newsletters or marketing email, and we don't sell your email or give it to anyone for their own use. The only other email you can get from us is a contact-form message, if you add a contact form to your page. It is never shown on your page.
  • What you put on your page: the site name, page names, text and any contact details you choose to show. Published pages are public, so anyone with the link can see them.
  • Contact form messages: if a page has a contact form, a visitor's name, email and message are emailed to that page's owner.
  • Server logs and security records: our host (HostGator) records technical data like your IP address and browser. We keep short-lived, hashed records to stop abuse (rate limits).

How we use it

To run the service: publish and update your pages, sign you in, deliver contact messages, keep the site secure. We don't sell your personal information.

We share data only with the services that help run the site:

  • HostGator hosts the site and stores your email address, pages and account records on its servers.
  • Email delivery: sign-in links and contact-form messages are sent through HostGator's mail servers, so they handle the recipient's address and the message.
  • Unsplash: photos that page owners add from Unsplash load straight from Unsplash's servers, so Unsplash sees the visitor's IP address and browser (see the Unsplash Privacy Policy). When you search photos, your search words go to Unsplash.
  • Google Analytics, only on the wordy.page app pages (home page, My pages, About and this page), for visit statistics; see Cookies below.
  • Google AdSense shows one ad at the bottom of published pages. Google may use cookies and receives the visitor's IP address and browser details to serve it (see how Google uses data for ads).

Apps you connect to your account (such as an AI assistant) receive the page data you ask them to work with. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in after you tap an emailed link.

On the wordy.page site itself (the home page, My pages, About and this page) we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which features are used, such as publishing a page or signing in. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details and the pages you view; we never send it your email address or what you write. Google's use of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Published pages made with Wordy Page don't include Google Analytics.

You can choose Accept or Decline in the cookie notice. Decline turns off analytics cookies, and your choice is remembered in your browser. Change your cookie choice.

How long we keep it

  • Account data (your email address and account records): kept while you have pages or connected apps, and removed when you delete your account.
  • Published pages: kept online until you unpublish them or delete your account. Unpublishing or deleting removes them from our server right away.
  • Contact messages: emailed to the page owner and not stored on our server. They stay in the owner's mailbox as long as the owner keeps them.
  • Sign-in: sign-in links expire after 15 minutes and work once. The sign-in cookie lasts up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
  • Agent keys and connected apps: we store only a scrambled (hashed) version of each key and token. Agent keys last until you revoke them. Connected-app access tokens expire after 1 hour, and the refresh tokens that renew them after 90 days, or sooner if you disconnect the app. Deleting your account revokes all of them.
  • Logs: to stop abuse we keep short records of recent requests, keyed by a scrambled (hashed) IP address or email, never the plain value; they only count the last hour. Our host keeps standard web server logs (IP address, page requested, browser) for a short time for security and troubleshooting; we don't archive them.
  • Backups: our host may keep routine server backups for a limited time, after which deleted data is gone from them too.

Your rights

You can edit or unpublish your pages and delete your account any time in My pages. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may also have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to how it's used, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. To ask, email info@electronflight.com. Wordy Page is run by Electron Flight LLC, 252 N Franklin St, Red Lion, PA 17356, USA.

Wordy Page isn't meant for children under 13. We may update this policy; the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
